Mike was born in Edmonton and raised on an acreage outside of Beaumont. After finishing high school, he began a career in construction, earning his Journeyman Electrician Certificate and Red Seal designation in 2013. He retuned to school in 2017, studying communications at MacEwan University before earning his JD from the University of Alberta in 2025.

Eric hails from Gleichen, Alberta but began his university career studying English at Augustana, graduating with great distinction in 1999. Eric went on to obtain a Masters degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of New Brunswick in 2001. After teaching as a sessional at Augustana and then running his own web development business for 11 years, Eric returned to school and received his law degree from the University of Alberta in 2017.

Steven was born and raised in Camrose, and graduated from Camrose Composite High School in 2000. He began his university career studying Music at the University of Alberta: Augustana Campus, graduating with distinction in 2005. Steven was a Presidential Scholar in the 2004 – 2005 academic year. Upon completion of his degree, Steven pursued an advertising career with the Edmonton Journal from 2005 to 2010. In 2011, he worked for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as a government caucus researcher and speechwriter. In 2014, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta.

Steven joined the firm in 2014 as an articling student. He was called to the Bar in 2015, and has been an associate with the firm since.

Outside of practicing law, Steven is an active member within the Camrose community. Steven is a Founding Director of the Nordlys Film & Arts Society, and served from 2015-2021 as a Director of the Camrose Regional Exhibition and Agricultural Society (CRE). He is currently a member of the Camrose Arts Council Board and remains an avid pianist.

Steven’s areas of practice are: 

Andrea was born and raised in Camrose. She began her university career studying psychology at the University of Alberta, graduating with distinction in 2005. She went on to obtain her law degree at the University of Alberta in 2008. Andrea returned to Camrose to article and has been practicing law at Farnham West Stolee Kambeitz LLP since 2009.

Outside of practicing law, Andrea is an active member within the Camrose community. Andrea was a board member with the Camrose Association of Community Living (CAFCL) for 10 years. Andrea keeps busy with her three young children and enjoys travelling, golf, skiing and spending time outdoors with her family.

Andrea is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer, one of only three in the Camrose area.  

Andrea’s areas of practice are:

Local to Camrose, Stephen began his university career studying psychology at the University of Lethbridge. In 2009, he obtained his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. Stephen was called to the Bar in 2010.

In addition to practicing law, Stephen is an Associate Professor of Business Law at the University of Alberta: Augustana Campus. He also volunteers his time within the community and is currently serving on the board of directors of the Battle River Community Foundation.

As a result of the cumulative effect of: fatherhood, his professional work, teaching, and his community volunteer work; Stephen has no free time.

Stephen’s areas of practice are:

Jon grew up in Camrose. He studied psychology at Augustana University College (now the University of Alberta: Augustana Campus), graduating with great distinction in 1997. In 2001, he obtained his law degree with distinction from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Jon was called to the Bar in 2002.  He joined the firm in 2005, and became a partner in 2007.

Jon is a fourth generation farmer on the family farm near Donalda.  He is married to the luckiest woman in the world, and has four busy children.  He is also active in his church.

Jon is the firm’s managing partner.  His practice areas are complex estate planning and corporate reorganizations. 

Martin West has practiced law since 1991. He became a partner in the firm in 2006.

Martin West served in the past as the President of the Alberta Chamber of Commerce, President of the Camrose Chamber of Commerce, and as a board member of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta, Horse Racing Alberta and Kinsmen.  

Martin also farms north of Camrose.

Scott grew up in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He began his university career studying psychology at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1975. In 1978, he obtained his law degree at the University of Alberta. Scott was called to the Bar in 1979.

Scott, along with Jacqueline Schaffter, started the firm in 1983. Jacqueline is now a Judge with the Alberta Court of Justice.

In addition to practicing law, Scott is actively involved within the Camrose community. He has served on the Bethany Board, the Ski Racing Board of Directors (Edmonton), Kinsmen Board of Directors, and the RCMP Public Complaints Commission. He currently serves on the Camrose Friends of Stars Board. In his free time, Scott enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and travelling.
